I took these shots of our tree in our front yard. I started at 12:00 noon, then one at 4:00 pm and then the last one at 9
:00pm. I was surprised about the way the pictures came out because while taking the pictures I was unable to see due to the sun. Then at 9:00 I was surprised how the flash made it look so dark out, because it was still fairly light. But the shading and lighting cam out surprisingly well.

Very nice comparison. It's interesting to play around with the light and shadows.
ReplyDeleteI am doing a similar three shots - 7:00 am, 12:30 pm and 5:00 pm. It is an interesting way to study.
ReplyDeleteIt is neat isn't it? I like to see how just nature can change a photo like this
ReplyDeleteTerrisa, I really like the lighting at 4:00pm. That's beautiful. I did a photo-shoot of my cousins' kids this week, and the lighting was perfect at about 4:30pm. I would love to showcase their photos, but I know that children shouldn't be displayed on the interent. It is a challenge to photograph a 3 year old and two year old boy, along with a 5 and 7 year old, I think maybe 2 or 3 pics came out.
ReplyDeleteThank you All
ReplyDeleteNight photos are hard, I have playing around with my flash but am yet to get any night shots that I love. The think you captured the morning and afternoon light perfect.
ReplyDeleteNice examples. I am a night person, so I really like the 9:00 PM shot. Good job.
ReplyDeleteI love silhouettes, especially against a night sky or sunset. I am very drawn to the evening photo. Although a simple subject (I am very partial to trees though) I feel you did a great job demonstrating differences in natural light.
ReplyDeleteOh I too love the silhoutte! But the green in the top shot is hard to beat!!
